Floral & Boutique Associate

Part-Time | 20–30 Hours Per Week $15–17​/​hour, depending on experience Austin, TX — Barton Creek ​/​ Westlake About the Role Éscolática Floral Atelier & Boutique is looking for a Floral & Boutique Associate to join our growing team. This is a hybrid role for someone who has floral experience but also enjoys retail, customer service, and working in a beautiful boutique environment. On some days, you'll be designing and processing flowers. On others, you'll be helping customers choose a gift, wrapping purchases, merchandising the boutique, or helping create content for social media. As our floral business grows, this position has the opportunity to grow with it—including increased involvement in weekly floral accounts, weddings, private events, installations, and other special projects. This is an ongoing part-time position as part of our in-house team. We are not looking for a freelance floral designer. What You'll Do Create fresh floral arrangements and bouquets for the boutique. Properly process, condition, and care for fresh flowers. Help select and place weekly flower orders based on inventory and anticipated needs. Pick up flowers from the local flower market​/​wholesaler weekly. Assist with floral orders and custom arrangements. Welcome customers and provide warm, attentive service. Help customers select flowers, gifts, and other boutique products. Process purchases using Shopify POS. Wrap and package flowers and gifts beautifully. Maintain the presentation and organization of the boutique. Receive and merchandise new products. Help monitor floral and retail inventory. Assist with opening and closing the shop. Help photograph flowers, products, and the boutique for social media. Assist with workshops and special events. As we grow, assist with weekly floral accounts, cold calls, weddings, events, deliveries, installations, and breakdowns. What We're Looking For Previous floral design or professional flower shop experience required. Must know how to properly process and condition fresh flowers. Must have experience or be comfortable placing flower orders and managing weekly floral needs. Must have reliable transportation and be available to pick up flowers from the local flower market​/​wholesaler weekly. Retail, boutique, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred. Comfortable working directly with customers and making sales. A strong eye for flowers, color, composition, and presentation. Warm, personable, dependable, and professional. Comfortable working independently in a small boutique. Organized and willing to help wherever needed. Able to lift flower buckets and be on your feet throughout a shift. Weekend availability required. Some evening availability for workshops and special events. A Plus Wedding or event floral experience. Social media, Instagram, photography, Canva, or content creation experience. Shopify POS experience. Visual merchandising experience. Schedule Approximately 20–30 hours per week, with the opportunity for additional hours as the business grows. Our ideal candidate has flexibility Wednesday through Sunday, including some weekends and occasional evenings for workshops and events. Compensation $15–17​/​hour, depending on floral and retail experience. This position is designed to grow. As our wedding, event, and recurring floral business expands, there will be opportunities for increased hours, compensation, and responsibility.
