About FleurSpace
Melanie and Michelle are the visionaries behind FleurSpace, a unique platform that transforms the way freelance florists and DIY enthusiasts access creative workspaces. FleurSpace connects flower shops and wholesalers with cooler space to florists seeking the perfect environment to design and innovate. This initiative breaks down logistical barriers, enabling florists to focus on creating stunning floral designs and on growing their business.
Melanie Rauscher, an award winning master florist, has been a vibrant force in the floral industry since 2004. Her journey began with a surprising discovery of her floral heritage, learning that her grandmother, whom she never met, was also a florist. This connection ignited her passion and led to a self-taught career that's blossomed into a thriving entrepreneurial venture.
Her expertise and creative flair have earned her numerous accolades, including being rated among the top three florists in Anaheim, winning “Most Original” at the Fleur de Villes competition, and claiming “Best Tablescape” for three consecutive years at Dux in Tux. In 2024, she was honored as the “Best Florist” by OCWP.
Committed to fostering a supportive community, Melanie thrives as a mentor, sharing her wealth of knowledge with budding florists. She is dedicated to ensuring that newcomers have access to the insights and guidance she wished she had early in her career, fostering an open and collaborative environment.
Looking to the future, Melanie envisions FleurSpace expanding globally, making it seamless for florists in California to find studios in places like Florence, and supporting local florists in scaling their operations without logistical stress. Her mission is to empower florists everywhere, providing the resources and community they need to succeed.
Her dedication to innovation, mentorship, and community has not only set her apart as a leader in floristry but continues to inspire those around her to reach new heights in their creative endeavors.
Michelle Sullivan is an entrepreneur, creative, and advocate whose work has consistently centered on community, purpose, and inclusion. She began her career as the founder of Michelle Sullivan Photography, where she spent years as a wedding photographer capturing meaningful moments for couples and families. After the birth of her son Eli, who was born with Down syndrome and a congenital heart defect, Michelle felt called to shift her focus toward advocacy and launched a clothing brand dedicated to spreading joy, awareness, and inclusion for individuals with disabilities and the people who love them. Michelle created messages that resonated across communities. Her bestselling “ASL Be Kind” tee gained national attention and was worn by celebrities including Joe Jonas and Josh Duhamel. Her trademark phrase, “Advocate Like a Mother,” became the foundation for a podcast she hosted alongside other advocates, creating space for conversations around disability, parenting, and empowerment. Michelle is also the author of the children’s book Eli, Included, inspired by her son’s first day of kindergarten and centered on the importance of belonging.
A lifelong creative, Michelle has a passion for design and home decor. Her home has been featured as a photography studio and creative set for several brands, including Anthropologie, and most recently served as a location for a Bridgerton campaign for Netflix.
As a co-founder of FleurSpace, Michelle brings her entrepreneurial experience and passion for community building to the floral industry. She is dedicated to creating opportunities for creatives and small business owners to grow without unnecessary barriers, helping florists access the resources and spaces they need to thrive. Michelle is passionate about showing people their worth: whether it's someone with a disability or a woman who has yet to see herself through God's eyes. Through FleurSpace, she continues to build platforms that uplift others, foster creativity, and create spaces where people feel seen, supported, and empowered.
Our Mission
Our mission is to foster creativity, community, and opportunity within the floral industry — giving independent florists the space to grow their craft and their business, without the overhead of a traditional storefront.
