Angelyn Tipton is an award-winning floral designer, educator, industry leader, and mentor with more than four decades of experience in the floral industry. Her passion for flowers began in childhood while growing up in her mother’s flower shop, where she learned the foundations of floral design, customer service, and the value of hard work. By the age of sixteen, she officially joined the family business as both a designer and delivery driver, gaining hands-on experience that would shape her lifelong career. An accomplished freelance floral designer, Angelyn has traveled throughout the United States creating floral installations for weddings, corporate events, competitions, television productions, movies, and large-scale public celebrations. She has collaborated with Fiesta Floats on multiple Rose Parade floats, contributing to projects for Miracle-Gro, Kaiser Permanente, the City of Torrance, and the Chinese American Heritage Foundation. Her award-winning work has been featured in industry publications including Florist Review and the AIFD Artistic Floral Design Book and the AIFD Guide to Floral Design Vol. III.
Design Experience & Specialties
Angelyn’s expertise includes everyday retail, weddings, events, parade float design, large-scale installations, color theory, curriculum development, workshop facilitation, and educational program leadership. Angelyn was at Floriology Institute in Jacksonville, Florida, serving as Education Manager and Instructor. During her time there, she played an instrumental role in developing educational programs, mentoring students, coordinating industry events, and preparing floral designers for professional certifications. Her passion for education and leadership inspired countless designers to pursue excellence in both creativity and professionalism. She also contributed to the development of the BloomNet Floral catalog, collaborating with the marketing department on design, photography, and the production of instructional videos supporting BloomNet’s educational floral catalog.
